The colors of the sunrise are muted. Green, orange, pastel pink. The mountain tops are a deep purple and mauve, shadows creating new shades of beauty.
As I wait for the sun to join me, I watch the vibrant morning awakening.
The sunrise makes me pause and ponder.
These early mornings outside are so vacant, while inside beds are warm and sleep is sweet. And yet, the glory of each new day with its peaceful presence is just as magnificent without an audience.
Because it’s His glory.
Nature praises its creator just by existing.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
Psalm 19:1-6 NIV
"Oh Lord, my God
When I, in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art"
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
Psalm 96:11-12 NIV
Lord, your handiwork makes my heart sing. The beauty of your creation draws me to you.
Thank you, Jesus. You love me enough to offer your sacrificial love so that I can stay with you for all of eternity.
I will gladly join the sunrise to praise you, Lord. You deserve it all.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Lord my God, you are very great;
you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
Psalm 104:1-2 NIV
