Everyone has a story. A journey. A testimony. We each have this life to live, and we each live it a little differently. And that’s what I love about people. There are no two identical people in this world…not even two identical identical-twins! (Say that five times fast.) God was so intentional with the particulars about each individual.
Are you a single child or a middle child? Did you grow up in a religious family or a musical one? Were your parents teachers? Does your mom love to surf and your dad love mountain biking? Were you raised by a single mom? A single dad? Do you love robotics? What was that one class in school you enjoyed so much – Biology, P.E., Creative Writing? Any Math nerds out there, like me? Does speaking a second language come easily to you? Do you prefer animals to people? Would you rather be dancing at a party or reading a good book at the Library?
All of those specific wirings are what make you unique! You are the one I write about in my stories. The people who’ve crossed my path at some point in my own journey are the ones who God brings to my mind in prayer throughout my days. And it’s you that inspires the characters in my books!
Whatever you do, don’t stop being YOU! You are one of a kind.
